FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How long are your wedding videos?

Every package has a cinematic highlights film. This film is set to music and features all the best moments from your day, beautifully edited like a short film set to music. The speeches are included in all packages and this film will last as long as your speeches do. Additionally depending on which package you choose, there will documentary coverage of the ceremony, reception, 1st dance and additional dancing. These films last can range from 40 minutes to over an hour.

What equipment do you use?

I use Sony cameras, which are pretty much accepted as the best for shooting weddings because they work so well in low light conditions. I've spent over €25,000 on equipment. My main camera is a Sony FS5 with 2 Fujinon Cinema Zoom lenses (18mm - 55mm and 50mm - 135mm), I have a Sony A7s ii, a Sony A7s, a DJI OSMO Pro and a Phantom 4 Pro drone. We use a stick handheld gimbal and a DJI Ronin M for steady cinematic shots. We use Sennheiser shotgun mics, 2 sets of Sennheiser radio controlled lapel mics, a handheld Sennheiser radio mic and a handy Zoom recorder. We also bring lighting and a hazer smoke machine.

Won’t my guests be put off by being filmed?

No. I find that people are in a very special frame of mind on a wedding day. They’re very happy to be celebrating the day and are generally oblivious to photographers, videographers, waiters and other professionals engaged in their business on the day. Added to that, I use longer lenses to so I don’t need to sit on top of someone to get a good shot. I don’t film any sacraments at a mass, I don’t film people eating or drinking. I don’t do interviews or vox pops unless requested to do so or people are willing.

Is there a deposit, a contract, how do I pay?

A deposit of €200 secures any of the packages for your wedding day. This can be paid by cheque or Electronic Funds Transfer. I then send an online contract for the engagement which you fill in and sign, I counter sign and send you back a copy. This protects us all. The balance of your package is payable before by cheque or EFT or on the day by cash or credit/debit card.

What style do you shoot in?

I shoot in a documentary style and work very closely with your photographer on the day. I do set up one or two shots during the day, but generally I simply observe what is happening, shadowing the photographer for a portion of the day and then shooting the reception whilst you're doing formal family shots.
